- Will turbos get louder? Yes, a tiny bit. Will you notice a performance gain? Absolutely not. There is no reason to replace them unless you are due for replacement. I would also avoid EVERY aftermarket filter that requires oil. I only know of 1 that doesn't require oil McLaren dry media engine air filters (pair)
