Hello everyone I finally got my 2010 out of Body Shop Prison, after a little over 3 months. Needless to say the shop didn't clean up the engine bay from all the prep and paint work so it looks like it's been in a very big dust storm. Before I go out and hit it with a pressure washer and start the process of cleaning it all up, I was wondering what if any precautions I should take to protect any of the components under the hood. On my 72 Vette I know what needs to be covered so as not to cause any problems after it gets a good under the bath. This is my first modern Corvette and not use to all the sensors and other electrical demons I might awaken when I clean her up..
Another problem I've inherited from her prolong stay is that the hood struts will no longer hold the hood up. Any recommendations as to a good set of struts to use. I know one gets what they pay for, I'm asking a recommendation as to ones that work well and will last.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
