My car is an 06 Z51 Vert and this just started to happen. I took it to the dealer and he said the availability of parts and the extent of the job was not really worth it. He said removing the rear cradle/exhaust on a 18yr old car with 106k miles can open a can or worms. He said the issue is minor compared to the risk of the repair. He quoted me $2600. But I would have to sign a waiver taking responsibility for any other issues that may come up as a result of the repair.
i than took it to a local vette specialist and he said the issue is so faint it wasnt worth it either. He quoted me $1600 just for labor.
I have an appointment next month with a dealer that is associated with my corvette club.
I think though, maybe I should just leave it alone as the car runs and performs perfectly.
has anyone done the same and just live with it?
