Seat Removal

Just removed my seats and dropped them off at the upholstery shop. I followed the advice to disconnect the battery. My question is, can I hook the battery back up? I have some electrical work to do while I'm waiting to get the seats back.

I'm also thinking of installing some sound/heat deading, any recommendations?
