After a year and a half and thousands of dollars I finally have my C6 purring again. The whole problem was electrical.
I have, however found something new. On the inside of the front window next to the right side of the rearview mirror there is a black box. It is 8 1/2" long and about 2 1/2" wide. There are no wires or connections going or coming from it.
I have the build sheet and the dealers New Car sticker. I have also looked at the owners and maint.. manuals. I can find nothing that indicates what it is and what it does.
It appears as though it is part of the car (not aftermarket). I see nothing showing how it was installed on the glass.
Dont know if this might make a difference but it is the BASE, Z51, LS3 and 3LT.
All help in identifying this part would be appreciated (without making me look like a dummy).
