Corsa 3.5" tips to 4.5" tips

I've got the corsa sports, with the 3.5" tips. Before this I had the Borla Touring with the 4.5" tips. Liked the looks of it better. Instead of replacing them, I found these tips and considering having them welded on in place. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks,
