2010 base model with 24,500 easy miles on it.
Recently put Kooks long tubes and catted x-pipe on along with Corsa Extremes, not tuned yet.
Took the boy for a joy ride today since the snow is apparently trying to make an appearance here in NH.
Got home, tried to do a small burnout and I believe instead of spinning the tires the clutch was being smoked. I did notice the clutch pedal was stuck at half position during the burnout. I was in competitive driving mode.
Being a low mileage car with original clutch and components, I hope I didn’t do too much damage within the 3 or so seconds. Definitely less than 5 seconds. Didn’t really rev the engine past 5k rpm at all. Probably didn’t do much to the clutch overall but I’m feeling pretty stupid because I normally drive this thing real easy. Don’t want to look at a new clutch anytime soon.
My garage now smells like burning brakes/clutch. No tire marks left in the driveway. 😭
