So I was driving my 2006 LS2 vert (91000 miles)yesterday on the highway (85 mph), when my engine shot up to 260 and the readout said coolant overheating and engine over heat limit. By the time I got the car off to the side of the road, it was smoking, squealing, and it sounds like metal is loose. I'm pretty sure the engine is shot, but other than a radiator hose blowout, what else could have happened to cause such a massive and sudden lost.
And in other news. Where is a well-reputable place to purchase a new engine or a complete rebuild kit?
