Hello!
I have a 2010 C6 with an automatic transmission and paddle shifters. I wanted a manual, but this car was only 20 miles from my house and it had everything I wanted except a manual transmission. To get the year, color, LT package, transmission, and mileage I wanted, I would have had to have something shipped over 1,000 miles at a cost of $2k. So, I opted for the automatic transmission that had everything else I wanted and was only 20 miles away.
I enjoy the experience of driving in sport mode and using my paddles to control my shift points.
My question is...
Am I unknowingly causing problems that are going to come back to bite me in the future? I just don't want to find out at a later date that using my paddle shifters was rough on my transmission and that I should have used it sparingly. Conversely, I would love to know if anyone can say "I have been using paddle shifters extensively for a decade and it has not caused a problem."
Any feedback is much appreciated!
