Ok guys my car has been doing this thing every now and then for a couple of years, getting more often recently where the dash functions stop working along with the doors and windows and the radio wont shut off and the antilock brake light comes on and once I turn the car off if either wont start up again or if it does it wont shift out of park. Now it seems like its cyling through what Ive seen listed on the forum as the BCM functions over and over like different dash gauges and the DIC reads low fuel, low tires, service car soon (but the check engine light stays off) service fuel system service antilock brakes, sometimes 1 or no gauges work and the driver display will be blank, sometimes it wont read the key fob even though I have it plugged into the hole in the glovebox etc. In the past if I disconnected the battery and left the car alone for a day or 2 it would reset and act as if nothing out of the ordinary happened! The battery is not an AGM but it is a Diehard gold thats less than 2 years old and I put this in when the problem started with the previous battery. Ive also changed the battery in the key fob several times. Now it starts if I time it right but it just seems to cycle through some of these problems every 10 seconds or so to a different set of things on this list not working properly like the gas and voltage gauges will read and then theyll go to zero then switch to the tach and the engine temperature reading and then theyll go to zero and something else will start reading for about 10 seconds and then that will switch to something else. I read in a post here recently that the BCM is under the floor on the passenger side with the fuses so I disconnected and cleaned it ( did not open black plastic box) lightly sprayed contacts and plugs with cleaner and looked for physical damage, nothing obvious, put a light coat of bulb grease over the connections, put back together and restarted, still doing the same thing and I had jumpers on the battery from my girls car to make sure the voltage was sufficient. I pulled the fuse for the Pioneer radio head a couple days ago so Im pretty sure that is not involved. Am I looking at a faulty BCM? Is there anything Ive missed? Whats the best way to handle this? Thanks for your thoughts fellow enthusiasts
