So I am sure others have this issue. My black dashboard has a quite a bit shine to it. Probably from product being applied over the years. Anyway when driving into the sun or the sun is directly over the dash I get this horrible glare on the inside windshield. I catch my self looking through the small square opening of the HUD as there isn't glare there. In the past when this is an issue I just get a dash mat in black fabric and the light does not reflect onto the windshield. In this case I don't like the Dashmats for these cars. I don't like the part that hangs down over the logo on the passenger side, I like the factory wording impressed in the dash. I can't find one without that bib looking extension.
I'd like to hear what others have done, whether maybe a matte finish vinyl product that will wipe the shine off and still protect it or maybe a custom mat or something. I was thinking of buying a cheap DM and cutting the bib off and see if my wife can sew sow new piping on the cut edge.
This looks old man to me
