Ethanol and Fuel Pump/Tank Cracking

I've seen comments that attribute our C6 fuel pump and tank problems to the ethanol in gasoline. I have a 16,000 mile 2008 that hasn't shown any symptoms of the malady to this point. Nonetheless, since I live in Texas, ethanol free gasoline is easily available so I'm wondering if a change that eliminated ethanol from my Corvette's diet might help with what can be an expensive problem if the cracking/leakage occurs? Remarks are appreciated.
