Vette newbie looking at 2012-2013 Grand Sports, probably not MRC.

Noticing market prices for prime examples around $40k. High mileage examples as low as $25-$30k.

My prior experience with older German cars is that despite bring in mint condition with low miles, seals and gaskets failing drove all kinds of high repair costs.

Thinking maybe buying the well maintained but higher mileage leave tons of room for rebuild/crate engine and rebuilt drive train if need be. I'm handy with interiors and have an inside deal on body/paint.

Am I thinking about this right or what's your experience?
