I'm putting my 2009 ZO6 back together after installing a new cam, etc, etc. I'm also getting close to installing a new DeWitts radiator (with included transmission fluid cooler).
I'm assuming I'll top off the fluid at the transmission fill plug. My possibly stupid question: Is there a chance the transmission could be starved of fluid as the empty tank in the radiator and associated lines fill up with fluid when I drive it for the first time after this work?
The more I think of it, I guess it will be okay with a slightly low fluid level until the system fills back up and I can then top it off.
Is my thinking correct? Thanks!
