Replica wheels backspacing offset questions

Currently I have the stock 5 spoke chrome 18x8.5 with +56 offset, and 19x10 with +79 offset. I also have a stock set of Gumby 5 spokes ( I assume they are the same offset).
Recently considered an aftermarket set of replica z06 wheels, 18x9.5 with +56 offset, and 19x10 with +65 offset.

My question is which direction does the offset move the center of the wheel? Towards the outside or towards the inside?

Considering adding the Z06 rotors and calipers later on but not the actual Z06 wheels since I've read they will rub or stick out past the fenders of my non-z06 car. Depending on the direction of the offset, the extra 1" of width on the fronts and the extra 10mm of offest on the rear might allow the bigger rotors and calipers to fit without using a spacer.

I read but not confirmed yet, using the stock 5 spoke Gumby wheels and a spacer (not sure how thick is needed) allows the use of the z06 rotors and calipers also.

Thanks guys.
